Fall 2019 – On the Theme of Wabi-Sabi

Pared down to its barest essence, wabi-sabi is the Japanese art of finding beauty in imperfection and profundity in nature, of accepting the natural cycle of growth, decay, and death. It’s simple, slow, and uncluttered – reveres authenticity above all.

The theme for the 2019 Fall Journal is Wabi-Sabi. The theme was selected to go along with the 2019 Fall Art Show. We invite you to stop by the art show while the works are on display from November 10-December 15. Once the show has concluded, you will be able to see the works from the show in our On-Line Gallery.

The authors included in this Journal invite you to take the time to consider the intriguing, surprising, poigniant, and sometimes difficult ways that beauty and grace can be seen in our lives.
